Duties and activities of this department are as follows:

A) Execution of educational operations for the students according to the requirements notified by vice-chancellery in mechanized form such as: Definition of courses, credit taking forms, credits deletion and addition, emergency withdrawal, providing different kinds of lists, entering transcript, preparing different types of reports (e.g. statistical report or report card);

B) Rendering and improving mechanized services according to the requirements of the vice-chancellery;

C) Developing available educational system and creating new abilities;

D) Storing and protecting academic information of the students;

E) Designing and implementing different types of academic forms and standardizing them;

F) Effective use of OP. SCAN machine as a new technology in reading and correcting examination papers and multiple choice answer sheets;

G) Making internet connection for the affiliated faculties for using information providing network of educational services system;

H) Preparing software packages required for the vice-chancellery for education according to the requirements;

I) Establishing logical and proper assessment system for examinations according to the defined standards;

J) Preparing different analytical and statistical reports of information bank to meet the executive and management requirements;

K) Managing information bank software packages of the faculty board members and their teaching information;

L) Promoting culture required for using computerized facilities among the staff of the vice-chancellery especially the supervisors by holding necessary training courses;

M) Publicizing software packages and experiences to the off-campus.
