Vice-chancellery for Education is responsible for supervising educational affairs of the university The main duties and responsibilities are as follows:

A)  Managing and supervising all educational affairs of university;

B)  Making studies and making decisions on educational issues with assistance of the relevant authorities;

C)  Supervising the implementation of educational rules and regulations through Supervisory and Testing Office of the university;

D)  Compiling and proposing the implementing principles for educational affairs;

E)  Supervising the good work performance of the affiliated sections;

F)  Drawing up agenda required for the Educational Council of the university;

G)  Planning educational affairs in cooperation with the relevant sections;

H)  Supervising and assessing the good implementation of the educational programs and activities of each faculty and submitting necessary reports to the presiding board of the university;

I)  Assessing the academic performance of students, faculty board members and educational directors in different sections in each semester and submitting a report on the result of the assessment to the chancellor of the university;

J)  Implementing short-term training courses;

K)  Determining and proposing the requirements for students admission;

L)  Making a review of any change or development in curricular plans according to medical scientific and economic requirements;

M)  Proposing necessary regulations for examinations and educational affairs progress at the university

N)  Establishing relations with other institutions both in the country and abroad for exchanging scientific information;

Vice-chancellery for Education in Isfahan University of Medical Science is active in planning, supervising, evaluating and coordinating the educational and academic activities of the university according to the needs of the society.

With the back of its long record of experience in proper organizational activity, in comparison with other universities of Medical Sciences, the Vice-chancellery for Education of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences has been rendering educational and academic services to students in general and graduate studies programs, graduates (those subject to continuous education), the affiliated institutions of medical education and faculty board members.

In addition, Vice-chancellery for Education makes its efforts towards meeting students’ satisfaction by applying the principles of total quality management and update principles of productivity towards the expediting and optimizing of procedures and development of graduate studies.
